Our gender identification service identifies in many instances whether a contact is male or female.
Give it a test run!

Our first name dictionary contains thousands of names from many languages to evaluate the gender of each contact. In instances where a name appears on both male and female lists, we score the probability based on the United States Census' frequency of the name in the general population of males vs. females.
For example, .007% of U.S. males are named Tracey, while .07% of U.S. Females are named Tracey, making it 10 times more likely that a Tracey on your list is female, which is how we would characterize it. The down side is that we'd guess wrong for 1 out of 11 Tracey's. Your creative should reflect that possibility, staying away from copy that would be offensive to the unfortunately, mis-gendered-identified individual.
Bear in mind that this method ensure a high overall percentage of correct guesses, but like any system of guesswork, will not be 100% accurate, and because of the predominance of English/western names in the U.S., the accuracy will be higher for Western lists than those with names primarily from other parts of the World. Chalk it up to developer bias. At any rate, give it a try!
